How to Remove the Backup Battery of the MT710

The Mictrack MT710 has a 650mAh backup battery that’s replaceable. If you need to swap it out, this post will show you how to remove the battery safely.

Open Back Cover

  • Remove the screws and open the back cover.

Remove Backup Battery

Since the solder pads for the MT710 battery holder are quite small, directly pulling the battery leads can sometimes result in poor contact with the battery holder pads. Therefore, we generally recommend that customers hold down the battery holder with their hand when removing the battery, as this is safer.

  • Press down on one corner of the white battery holder (1 in the image below)
  • Gently pull the battery cable(red/black) upwards to slowly remove the battery(2 in the image).
